Making a claim?

  • Start by submitting all eligible expenses through your group insurance plan as claims must first be processed by priority of reimbursement:

    1. Employees insured plan,

    2. Balance submitted to spouse’s insured plan (if coordination of benefits applies),

    3. Health Spending Account

    Submit original receipts and applicable “Explanation of Benefits” from any other insurers to claims@rpibi.com for processing.

    *Receipts and claim statements from insurers must show the following information:

    Date of Expense

    Provider/ Dr/ Clinic/ Pharmacy contact information

    • Patient Name

    • Details of each service provided

    • Cost for each service provided

    • Coordination of Benefits applied (if applicable)ion text goes here

  • You can submit HSA claims to us for processing in a number of different ways:

    • Email our claims department your submission form and copies of all expense receipts to claims@rpibi.com

    • Complete an online claims submission by clicking here or on the button at the bottom of this page

    • Mail all your claim documents including the submission form and receipts to our office:

Rodney Pimm Insurance Benefit Inc. will reimburse eligible expenses through the HSA if they meet the following criteria:

  • the expense is considered to be an eligible expense by Revenue Canada. For a complete list please contact the Health Care Spending Account administrator at Rodney Pimm Insurance Benefit Inc.

  • the expense is not covered under the provincial health/hospitalization plan of the person’s normal province of residence,

  • the expense has not already been fully reimbursed by your group plan ( i.e. Sun Life) or any other plan, and

  • the expense is for care, services or supplies that have been recommended by a licensed medical practitioner,

  • any mandatory provincial health care premiums are an ineligible expense

The HSA may be used to pay for qualifying dental and vision care items, benefits in excess of any plan maximums, coinsured and other non-insured amounts under your group insurance.
